About the mission
About the Australian Embassy in Denmark
The Australian Embassy in Copenhagen is Australia’s resident diplomatic mission in Denmark and represents the Australian Government in its official relationship with Denmark.
The Embassy also has diplomatic accreditation to Norway and Iceland, giving the Copenhagen mission responsibility for Australia’s bilateral relationships with all three Nordic countries.
The Embassy promotes Australia’s political, economic and broader bilateral interests in the region and provides consular assistance to Australians overseas.
Australia’s Ambassador to Denmark, Norway and Iceland is Mr Dave Vosen, who commenced as Ambassador to Denmark in September 2025.

Visitor arrangements
Appointments at the Australian Embassy in Copenhagen
Consular services, passport interviews and in-person notarial services require an appointment before attending the Embassy.
Passport applications that cannot be lodged through the eligible postal renewal process must be submitted in person by appointment in Copenhagen or during an announced passport outreach visit to Norway or Iceland.
In-person notarial appointments in Copenhagen are currently offered on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm and Fridays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Some notarial services that do not require the applicant to appear personally, including certain certified copies, apostilles and authentications, can be handled by registered mail or courier.
Before booking: for notarial services, confirm with the organisation receiving the document exactly what service is required. Embassy staff cannot advise clients which notarial act another organisation requires.
