The Australian Embassy is located in Edificio Tierra Firme on Avenida Carrera 9 in northern Bogotá.
Finding the entrance: the Embassy advises visitors to access Edificio Tierra Firme through the main entrance in the courtyard adjacent to Avenida 7, behind the Scotiabank building.

About the Australian Embassy in Colombia
The Australian Embassy in Bogota is Australia’s resident diplomatic mission in Colombia and represents the Australian Government in its official relationship with Colombia.
Australia and Colombia established diplomatic relations in 1975, and Australia opened its resident Embassy in Bogota in June 2017.
The two countries cooperate in areas including education, energy, infrastructure, trade and investment, resources and efforts to combat transnational crime.
Australia’s Ambassador to Colombia is Ms Anna Chrisp, a career Australian diplomat who took up her posting in Colombia in November 2023.

Available services include certifying documents and identity, witnessing signatures, apostilles and authentications, affidavits and Certificates of No Impediment to Marriage.
Visa and citizenship services: the Australian Embassy in Bogota does not have a visa processing office. Australian visa and citizenship matters for the region are administered by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

Appointments at the Australian Embassy in Bogota
Passport application interviews and notarial services at the Embassy are offered by appointment only.
Current passport appointments are published for Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Applicants should use the Embassy’s official online booking system to arrange an appointment.
Notarial services also require an appointment. Before attending, clients should confirm exactly which notarial service is required with the organisation receiving the document.
Some eligible notarial services can be completed by mail, including certain certified copies, apostilles and authentications and Certificates of No Impediment to Marriage. Contact the Embassy before sending documents.
Payment: in-person passport and notarial fees are payable in Colombian pesos by Visa or Mastercard. The Embassy does not accept cash or cheques for these services.
