About the Australian Embassy in Indonesia
The Australian Embassy in Jakarta is Australia’s resident diplomatic mission in Indonesia and represents the Australian Government in its official relationship with the Republic of Indonesia.
Australia and Indonesia maintain an extensive bilateral relationship covering political and strategic cooperation, trade and investment, defence and security, education, development, climate, health and strong people-to-people links.
The Embassy is the central Australian diplomatic mission in Indonesia and works alongside Australian Consulates-General in Bali, Makassar and Surabaya.

Passport services are available by appointment. Eligible adult renewals and certain eligible child renewals can also be submitted by mail.
Notarial services
The Embassy provides eligible Australian notarial services. Some services require personal attendance, while certain services can also be arranged by mail.
Visa and citizenship enquiries: the Embassy’s general and consular contact channels do not handle individual Australian visa or citizenship enquiries. Australian immigration and citizenship matters should be addressed through the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
Visitor arrangements
Appointments at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta
Passport services at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta are by appointment only. Clients are permitted access to the Embassy for passport services only when they have a confirmed appointment.
Consular and passport appointments are currently available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, except public holidays.
Eligible adult passport renewals can be submitted by mail. Eligible child passport renewals can also be mailed where the child is aged 15 or younger, has held a previous passport, and the applicant meets the Embassy’s current postal-lodgement conditions.
First-time child passport applications and applications for children aged 16 or 17 must be lodged in person by appointment.
Passport processing: the Embassy currently advises allowing a minimum of six weeks to receive a new passport after payment has been taken. Incomplete applications can cause additional delays.
