The Australian Consulate-General in Bali is one of Australia’s four diplomatic and consular posts in Indonesia, alongside the Australian Embassy in Jakarta and Consulates-General in Makassar and Surabaya.

Australian passports
The Consulate-General provides regular and emergency Australian passport services. In-person applications are by appointment, while eligible adult and child renewal applications can be lodged by mail.
Notarial services
Eligible Australian notarial services are available by appointment, including witnessing signatures, certifying copies, apostilles, authentications and other authorised services.
Emergency passports: in certain circumstances, the Consulate-General can issue an emergency passport when urgent travel is required after an Australian passport has been lost, stolen or damaged.
Visa and citizenship matters: the Consular Services Section does not accept or process Australian visa or citizenship applications. Visa and migration information for Indonesia is provided through the Australian Government’s immigration channels.

Passport and notarial services requiring attendance at the Consulate-General must normally be booked in advance through the official appointment system.
Passport appointments
In-person passport applications are by appointment only. Applicants should arrive approximately 10 minutes before their scheduled time to allow for security screening.
Notarial appointments
Notarial services also require an appointment. Before booking, confirm exactly which service the organisation receiving your document requires.
Emergency passport applications: the standard appointment requirement does not apply to emergency passport applications. If your passport is lost or stolen and you require urgent travel, attend the Consulate-General during office hours and contact the mission for guidance.
Passport collection: no appointment is required to collect a completed passport. Passports can be collected Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, excluding Consulate public holidays. Bring photo identification.

Book the correct service
Passport and notarial clients should select the correct service when making an appointment. Selecting the wrong service may mean the Consulate-General cannot complete your request at the scheduled time.
Prepare your documents
Bring all required passport forms, photographs, identification and supporting documents. Notarial clients should also obtain clear instructions from the organisation receiving their documents.
Check postal renewal eligibility
Eligible adult passport renewals and eligible child renewals for applicants aged up to 15 who have held a previous passport can be lodged by mail.
Passport processing: allow a minimum of six weeks to receive a new or renewed Australian passport. Priority passport processing is not available in Indonesia.
Payments: consular, passport and notarial fees are payable by card. Fees can be paid in Indonesian rupiah by credit or debit card or in Australian dollars by credit card. Cash is not accepted.
Lost or stolen passport: report a lost or stolen passport to the local police and obtain a police report before applying for a replacement Australian passport.
