The Australian High Commission in Port Louis is Australia’s resident diplomatic mission to the Republic of Mauritius.
Australia and Mauritius have longstanding diplomatic relations and share links across the Indian Ocean region, including cooperation in trade and investment, tourism, education, maritime issues, climate resilience and regional affairs.
The High Commission also represents Australia to Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros and provides consular services to Australians in Réunion Island.

A limited range of notarial services is available, including witnessing and legalising eligible documents and administering oaths and affirmations. Notarial services are by appointment.

Passport applications that require personal lodgement must be submitted at the High Commission by appointment. Notarial services are also offered by appointment only.
First-time adult passport applications must be lodged in person. Child applications that require personal lodgement must also be submitted by appointment.
Eligible adult passport renewals can be sent or dropped off without a passport interview. Certain subsequent child passport applications for children under 15 are also eligible for mail-in lodgement.
Applicants outside Mauritius: the High Commission recommends using a courier where an eligible application is being mailed from Seychelles, Madagascar, Réunion or Comoros.
