The Australian Embassy in Riyadh is Australia’s resident diplomatic mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Embassy represents the Australian Government and supports Australia’s diplomatic, economic, trade and broader bilateral relationship with Saudi Arabia.
The Embassy also has non-resident accreditation to Bahrain, Oman and Yemen.

Eligible adult passport renewals and eligible child renewals for children under 16 can be lodged by registered courier. Applications that do not meet the mail-in criteria must be lodged in person by appointment.
Notarial services
The Embassy provides a limited range of Australian notarial services for Australian documents and eligible foreign documents intended for use in Australia. Appointments are required where personal attendance is necessary.

Check mail-in eligibility
Eligible adults can renew by courier if their current or previous passport meets the Australian renewal criteria. Eligible child renewal applications for children under 16 who have held a previous passport can also be mailed.
Book when required
Passport applications that do not meet the mail-in criteria must be lodged in person. Applicants aged 16 or 17 must attend their passport interview with one or both parents.
Prepare for card payment
Passport and notarial fees are paid in Australian dollars by eligible Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card. Cash is not accepted.
Priority processing: Priority Processing is not available for Australian passport applications lodged in Saudi Arabia.
Emergency passports: in some urgent circumstances, a limited-validity emergency passport or another travel document may be available to facilitate urgent travel to Australia. Contact the Passport Section for advice.
Bahrain and Oman: Embassy officials conduct outreach visits to Bahrain and Oman when possible. Australians who cannot lodge an application in person in Riyadh and are not eligible for a mail-in application may be able to use an outreach visit.
