About the Australian Embassy in Ukraine
The Australian Embassy in Kyiv is Australia’s resident diplomatic mission to Ukraine and is also accredited to the Republic of Moldova.
Australia and Ukraine established diplomatic relations in December 1991. Australia opened its Embassy in Kyiv in 2014.
Australian diplomats temporarily relocated to Warsaw following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Australia announced the return of its Embassy to Kyiv in December 2024, and the Ambassador returned to Kyiv in January 2025.
Australia’s Ambassador to Ukraine is Mr Geoff Bowan.
