About the Australian Consulate-General in Surabaya
The Australian Consulate-General in Surabaya opened in 2017 and strengthens Australia’s engagement with East Java and Central Java.
The mission supports business, education, people-to-people and cultural links between Australia and the region, while also providing services to Australians living in or travelling through its area of responsibility.

Notarial services
Eligible Australian notarial services are available by appointment for Australian documents and foreign documents intended for use in Australia.
Notarial services available: services include certifying eligible copies, apostilles and authentications, witnessing certain signatures, Australian statutory declarations, affidavits, oaths and affirmations, and Certificates of No Impediment to Marriage.
Visa and citizenship matters: the Consulate-General does not process or advise on Australian visa, migration or citizenship applications. These matters are administered by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

Children: children under 16 do not need to attend the passport interview. Applicants aged 16 or 17 must attend with a parent or guardian.
